This Memorial Day, lets' take time out of our busy schedules to remember all those who have and still are sacrificing for our freedoms. These incredibly brave men and women have given up so much for us, the least we can do is remember them once a year.

Below is an inspiring video that will make you proud of our Military.

Thoughts on the Arizona Immigration Law PDF Print E-mail

Just as Healthcare was once the big topic on the news, everyone now seems to be talking about Immigration. This important issue, previously quelled by other matters, has been propelled into the lime light by this latest Arizona policy. My personal thoughts on the matter? If you make it easier to get into the country legally, instead of the hectic process currently in place, people will prefer legal immigration to the illegal kind. Then terrorists can't blend in to the crowd of immigrants sneaking in the back way. Terrorists won't want a background check, so if we fence them out with better security there will be no way to get in. Sounds simple, right? Then why can't we figure out how to do it?

This is a cool, short article that makes some great points about the I. I. debacle. Here is the link:

ABOUT THE BOOK:

Here is an inspiring and poignant collection of teen essays, depicting individual stories of the courage and humanitarianism demonstrated by soldiers who served from World War II through the conflicts in the Middle East .  These engaging stories illustrate how American soldiers, driven by perseverance and a spirit of patriotism, have provided our country with over 200 years of freedom and prosperity.  Interwoven in the essays, are the younger generation’s (the young writer’s) introspective reasons why they chose to honor their heroes.

“These compelling stories remember those who were willing to pledge their lives for the liberty of generations to come; we realize through our children that the heroic legacy of our soldiers and veterans should not only be remembered but their stories retold.”

William Potter, Historian / Curator. The Circa History Guild
